Membership renewals.

Hi,

I have completed the online membership renewal and still have not received anything?

Renewal date 17.7.18
Member number 7024

I have emailed the admin team last week but still no reply?

Does the club have a direct email address for membership checks?

Thanks in advance Mr Q Smith.

Re: wiring up gauges

Yes as long as the supply is fused well. Run from ignition live not a constant supply as this may cause a battery drain.

Re: Broken accelerator cable

Clear the pipe with an air tap and compressed air. This helps clear old grease and rust debris . Try to avoid any kinks in the new cable when feeding through.

Re: adjusting brakes

Try clamping a flexi hose one at a time to see what effect it has on the pedal and its travel. This will pinpoint a particular brake or identify a master cylinder supply issue. Has the operation rod been adjusted?

Re: Bus for family of 4 to use for camping

We camp in a tin top splitty with a 9 year old in a cab bunk and the 6 year old with us on the full width rock and roll bed. We never have any reason to change this at present. Propex heating system keeps us all warm. We don't see the need for tents and trailers at present that's why we got a camper...

What did you do today?

Always inspired by the Early bay forum with regards to moral within club and not just selling stuff! I thought it might be nice idea to start a similar thread. I fitted one of Butty's throttle linkages today, brilliant piece of kit and a great result. 100% recommend. Also collected some tools togeth...

Re: Fitting a nose cone.

Turn both drive flanges together clockwise and the input shaft should not rotate to confirm you are indeed in neutral. At the end of each selector the c shapes should all be level ready for the hockey stick to decide the gear.

Tyres

Hi, Do any of you fit your own tyres with a manual machine? I'm a five car family and get fed up with local tyre centres. Biggest issue I had with splitty was buying tyres from a supplier direct and no one local would fit them. I can see I have not been loyal to the local chaps but most of them coul...

Re: Sudden loss of power

Might be worth checking points and dwell angle. Compression test the engine. This would give a good indication if base engine is at fault or ignition/carb issue.
