Re: How to modify the lower shock mount for a narrow beam

The old bolt was removed with a lot of heat as it was an interference fit, so I don't expect they will go back in the original hole, rather than ream the hole to make sure pin was square it was easier to thread the new bolts were made with a thread. Hope this helps.

Re: Reaming door hinges - good 'idiot's guide'?

I used 8.5mm which I think is 1st over size, in the hope that it would be enough, I was removing original pins. The inner part of the hinge, the removable bit was a tolerance fit (tight) and the outer part (the bits on the door I reamed clearance (enough for it to slide in by hand without to much fo...

Re: Reaming door hinges - good 'idiot's guide'?

Opps just re read and missed the "Drivers" side door, thought you meant side door not Cab door. unless you get the massive removal tool to squeeze the pin out you may have trouble keeping your paint in good order. the tool looks some thing like this, think this is for a bug http://images.thesamba.co...

Re: Canterbury Pitt door awning information required please.

the popper position was always tight on my door awning and about 5mm difference on either side. so the measurements may be out or drilled off on installation. Id probably get a ruff guide from these photos and the drill the popper to suite your awning. Hope this helps https://lh6.googleusercontent.c...

Undoing bad workman ship like this is worse than replacing rusty parts. Did you point out the expert roof job to the new owner. Will be watching good luck, sure this build will take some patience.
