Tranquil Campsite In Cornwall

Hi All, I’m down in Cornwall on a beautiful tranquil family friendly campsite between St Agnes and Perranporth “Crosscombe Farm”. It’s run by a lovely couple Fred & Glynis, Fred as a 65 Westy and a 79 Bay and will talk all day about Volkswagens which we were doing one evening the next thing I know h...

Re: SSVC Cruise to Avoncroft Aircooled - Sunday 19th May

Hi All
What a great little laidback old school air cooled show, just like shows used to be!
We loved it.

Re: More running woes

Hi
If you’re running points and condenser it sounds like the condenser is braking down.
You might as well Fit new points, condenser, rotor arm and distributor cap at the same time.
Cheers John.

Re: For sale 1956 combi

Hi Do you still have the original steel wheels that can be refitted, sorry I don’t like the alloys. Can you post photos of the bubbling paintwork that you mentioned and maybe some more photos of the plain interior, what’s that above the back seat? And a shot of the engine bay. What engine is in it? ...

Re: Camping near Newquay

Hi Arron It’s a great little campsite, nice and quite, a bit hard to find down some narrow lanes. You can walk to Watergate Bay it takes about 20 mins, if you go in the Bus there’s a car park on the left before the hill down to Watergate £3.50 all day. If you want to have surfing lessons ask the lad...

Re: Engine mechanic St Neots area

Don’t thinks so but the pump as put the fuel under pressure so all that pressurised fuel will be forced through that carb down the manifold into th cylinders passed the rings and down into the sump. You need the carbs or that right hand one striping down and the float checking.

Re: Engine mechanic St Neots area

Hi Aaron I don’t know anyone in your area but it sounds like one or both of the floats are sticking I the carbs and not closing the fuel cut off which will let fuel keep flowing into the carbs. The only place it can go is into the engine filling the sump with petrol then when you start it with the s...
