I believe you can get a version that fits behind the front bumper.

Sell the 2.7, hopefully there's profit in it for you. If so, then buy another 1776.

Re: Vintage speed classic quick change gear stick.
It's very straight forward. The reverse lock out is as you rightly say, a lift rather than a push like stock, don't really know how it operates inside because I've never been bothered to look. All sorts itself out. Just make sure you fit the plate the correct way round that sits under the base, othe...

Re: What front shock
Cheers for the update mate, what are they like on the open road? My K&L pin beam is silly bouncy :/ I get a certain amount of bounce, but that tends to be the road surface rather than excessive bounce in the leaves. I've now clocked up approx 120 miles on these Gaz shocks and they seem fine. The ad...

Re: Tips for checking valve clearances
Your gasket is broken anyway Miles so as Jonny says, clean it all off and repeat. Smear fresh oil on the face of the gasket when you reassemble. Bit like you would the rubber seal on an oil filter. As for adjusting, just follow the guide. It's a very simple process and done with the engine stone col...

Re: What front shock
if you go with Gaz, ring them direct with your mount to mount measurements. They will give you the correct length shocks with the correct ratio of up and down travel.

Re: What front shock
I've just fitted Gaz adjustable front shocks. Yet to take it out on the road, but just by shifting it around the workshop it feels good. I'll post when I've driven it which will be early this week. If you decide on Gaz, give Mark a call at Gazmatic and he will sort you out with the right shocks for...

Re: Shocks on 4" narrow beam
Or have you not shortened the mount on the trailing arm?? ^^^ this^^^ You will get shocks on without narrowing the bottom mount, but I can say that having narrowed my bottom arm mount, and now fitted my shocks (Gaz adjustable), they do fit a lot better and the rubber bushes sit level on the mount. ...

Re: Lets see your Vintage Speed exhaust set ups! (please) :)
do the exhaust fumes exit into directly into the back of the bumper or below the bumper and towards the floor? That's well hidden isn't it?! Can you not see it at all from behind? DD :) It exits well below the bumper and not into it. Pointing downwards. Fumes are well clear. No residue in the rear ...

Here's mine

Not very visible I'm afraid, but then it isn't really!
My tailpipe exits to the right, just below my face bumper sticker. No mods were necessary.
