Re: Oil temprature double checking ?

I have a VDO guage and the oil temp sender in the Oil relief blanking plug (Machine 7 sell them) - I found this was neater and seemed more accurate. Actually I tell a lie - I just looked at M7 and can't find it - Heritage sell them though.... see below. Machine 7 sell them through ebay. Fitting thi...

Re: Oil temprature double checking ?

This is after 45 minutes of motorway driving at 55 on a hot day. Is that about right then ? Im not sure if the needle is stuck or my bus is cooling better than i thought. lol That looks good to me but I've heard from some people that if the sensor is in the sump you get lower readings because of th...

Re: Fuel cut off solenoid - where and how?

Yes but I've spent the money on an extinguisher quite a few years ago and it is still in good order. And I don't want to spend another couple of hundred as I've got all the parts. I just want to install a fuel cut off solenoid (which I bought a few years back but have not fitted yet). If it's fed fr...

Mine is the same as Stevep. Mounted to the chassis rail just as the pipe comes out of the tank.
Filter is included in it with this version and it’s shuts the fuel off if the extinguisher is activated.
Great bit of kit to have.
I don't have an extinguisher where I can connect it to either.

Fuel cut off solenoid - where and how?

I've searched the web but haven't found satisfying answers. Where is the best location for the fuel cut off solenoid to be mounted. I know not in the engine bay but where do you fix it to the bus? Is it better to have the fuel filter before or after the solenoid? (before = between tank and solenoid,...

Re: Faulty Ignition Barrel on 67

I haven't dealt with Desi myself but know a few people who have. Was trying to meet him at Stanford Hall but failed.
He seems to have everything in regards to locks.
I myself got an 67 ignition lock from the states years ago and re-keyed it to my existing key. Was not a problem.

Gertjan

Re: Viccy Farm stuff can someone please post info?

Quiz and charity auction raised just shy of £1200 for Great Ormand Street, big thank you to Alan Schofield for paying £34 for a T shirt...unfortunately they had run out of change when he paid for it so ended actually paying 35.. At least it fitted him. Rikki bought an empty paper bag for £20! It wa...

Re: Tools for a calmer life.

I use the washing up bottle method to fill up the gearbox.
You don't have the problem of a hose full of oil at the end.
