Re: Garage car skates
I can't remember where I got mine from, but they look exactly like those on the link. They have scooted my van round the garage without any problem at all. I've had them about 5 years now and they're still fine

Re: Garage car skates
As Who me? said, once the wheel s are swivelled into line it's easy. Garage floor would have to be very rough to be an issue.

SSVC Events 2021
We held a zoom committee meeting at the weekend to plan for the year ahead. I just want to let you all know the decisions and the reasons behind them. The show season for 2021 is not looking great. Several big shows have already cancelled and Stanford Hall moved to August 22nd. Unfortunately Brighto...

Re: Noob Questions
Welcome to the forum. Easy one first, insurance. Classicline offer very good rates and service. There is a 10% discount for paid up members. A lot of members do their own servicing. The engines are very straightforward with no management systems or specialist tools required. I tend to do mine each y...

Re: Looking for recommendations for recovery services
There is a self drive truck hire place in Money Lane, Bromsgrove. You can drive their small recovery truck on an ordinary car license. Costs about 100 quid for the day plus diesel but I imagine they do a weekly rate. Problem for you would be getting them one at a time.

Re: 1967 splitscreen
The bracket for the rear valance is there. Is it possible to fit the engine lid and valance to get the lines for the corner panel? I would try Schofields first for the panel. It will hopefully seem obvious once you have the panel to offer up against the others. If it helps my 67 is 374 mm from the t...

Re: Paint Colour, Lotus White?
Try the colour charts on thesamba.com , there are plenty of pictures of most of the colours though even then it varies depending on your monitor. The only way to get a perfect match would be to find a proper paint supplier who will mix to match your sample, the wing mirror perhaps? It looks like a r...

Silver on black, but I'm sure a decent number plate maker will be able to advise if there any other legal alternatives. There are legal requirements with everything, size, shape, font...

You don't have to wait till you've bought your split to join the club. It's probably the best way to find out what it's really like to live with one.

Never tried an electric sprayer so I can't comment.
If you are just doing the outside then I would have thought 5lt would be more than enough.
