Re: Oil temprature double checking ?

Remember oil needs to reach at least 80c in order to evaporate the water left in it due to condensation on cool down. That's what causes the cream sludge if you do too may short runs ;) I run at between 90-100c depending on speed and weather.

Re: Insurance theft limitation ?

It is a daft clause as I can't get the bus in the garage with the roof rack on and I like to get away early in the mornings!!! If I park it on the road a mile away I'm covered but not on my drive, how mad!!

I kicked RH into touch and saved £100 with Carole Nash.

How does this look on an OG Westfalia roofrack?
I have a copy Westfalia folding ladder I may well be selling as it's too short for my HWE rack.

Re: HWE ladder repro £95 PROMO PRICE

I could be interested in sharing postage with Chappi as my Westy style one doesn't fit properly.

Re: To Deluxe trim or not....

Personally it should stay on delux buses only but I understand people like it. I've seen some realy badly fitted trim over the years and it looks dreadful. It's also a nice water trap, as is the cill trim. If you fit it make sure all the drilled holes are treated the best you can.

The Monxa 4 Tip retricts the flow and therefore the performance! You're better of getting a stock exhaust then a 4 tip mate.

Re: RE: Re: Help - What do I own!!

The flat bulkhead would suggest South African. The spare wheel well is an add on at some point. Looks a nice bus though :) Can you actualy say/ tell that without seeing the metal? Is it not an early rising sun wheel well and trim panels? At first glance I thought it was the metal but looking closer...

Re: Fuel lines

i have used the Solenoid from Reigan for the last few years, no trouble. I'm about to upgrade to the larger one and found that Tinley Tech do it, from the same manufacturer Valtek. http://tinleytech.co.uk/shop/lpg-parts/petrol-shut-off-valve-high-output/ They can be put under pressure as well, mana...

The flat bulkhead would suggest South African. The spare wheel well is an add on at some point. So a late CKD (Complete Knock Down) Kit would explain the bullets as they used whatever they could get. Looks a nice bus though :)

Re: Who does semaphore refurb?

I contacted a few classic car people that offered the service but they only seem to deal with Lucas one and not VW. Mine work but are still 6v and would like them rewound to 12v.
