I've just taken delivery of a 1600 twinport/dualport block to replace my 1500 singleport.
I understand that I need to replace the inlet and carb manifolds and also the tinware above the cylinder heads.
Do I need to replace the fan shroud and oil cooler ? And is there anything else I have missed ?

Replacement engine
I'm looking for a replacement engine for my 64 Split, it currently has a (broken) 1500 single port.
Without having to upgrade anything, (gearbox/brakes) what size engine can I put in and can anybody recommend or have experience of a good engine builder/supplier ?

Since a respray (1964 bus), I cant seem to get my indicators to work. I've got headlights and taillights but, no indicators, no clicking noise or anything. Im thinking it could be the flasher relay or the switch itself, can anybody tell me how to go about eliminating things one by one. I have a borr...

Re: Perforated Vinyl
It's an 11 window, but it's a custom made interior so I was just after a roll of material so I could tackle it myself.

Re: Starting Clunk !
Here's what happened:- - Changed the starter bush - still clunking - Put in a new starter motor - still clunking - checked timing (ok) - still clunking. - Pulled engine and checked flywheel and discovered a 6v flywheel (109teeth, not the required 130 of the 12v). I changed the flywheel for a 12v and...

Starting Clunk !
When I turn the key on my 64 bus (1500 singleport), I get a clunk and a whir and it takes a three or four attempts to start the bus and sometimes it wont start at all. (it does eventually when put in gear and rocked a bit) Once started, the bus is running sweetly. I have tried two starters which bot...
