Re: Twin Dells- Big Bore Heat Exchang

Do the heat exchangers have any fins inside? What diameter pipe are they?

Re: Hard Brake Pedal - Dreadful Braking

Thankfully you DON'T have a CE RHD pedal conversion. That's all genuine components. As suggested. Get the bus in the air, and see what's happening at each wheel. There maybe more than one fault. I've a bus arrived today which has a very solid pedal and poor brakes with disks on all four corners.

Yes, that's usual. Then as it wears it will do it more often.

Re: my "1303 IRS" AM code gearbox jumps out of reverse

Check the gearbox mounts are good / not loose / not sagging. Put it in reverse, then disconnect the linkage, and try engage reverse a little more. Does it still jump out? Some gear linkages are too long so it doesn't fully engage reverse. Otherwise its the reverse gear cog worn. Which is a common fa...

Re: Hard Brake Pedal - Dreadful Braking

We've had a RHD conversion on a US Bus if that makes any difference? I shouldn't have mentioned that on the original post! Right, that makes more sense then. Something else did for you to check then, is how they did the RHD conversion. If they used factory parts then great. If they used aftermarket...

Re: Hard Brake Pedal - Dreadful Braking

The fluid res' is accessed by lifting the carpet and rotating off the access cover. No screws involved?

Re: Hard Brake Pedal - Dreadful Braking

Yes - it sounds like your calipers are probably partially seized - and looking at your disks, have been for a while - probably through lack of use. Has your bus been standing idle a for a long period? I'd see what adjustment the rear brakes need - and take the front calipers off and have a good loo...

Re: Hard Brake Pedal - Dreadful Braking

Morning, Dougie has given you some incorrect info there. When the brakes are converted to disks, the pedal feel goes very "wooden" is how it's usually described. Very little feedback through the pedal. That is completely normal. What Dougie has said is if you have stock brakes still all round. The h...

Re: Propex Installation

Any particular reason you mouted the propex there? The fan has to push the air through a tight 90 bend , followed by a 180 followed by another 90.

Also, the fuel pump & regulator must restrict access to your spark plugs? And bin that fuel hose. Its crap and won't last.

Re: Electric fuel solenoid blowing it's fuse?

2amp blade fuse fitted.

There wasn't a fuse / holder supplied so I fitted a waterproof in-line blade holder as engine bays are generally pretty dirty I thought a sealed holder would be a good choice. Yep was wondering about surge current tolerance.
