Hey all.

I'm new, both to the forum and the world of buses.

I've just secured the purchase on a '62 15 window walkthru. In a slightly sorry state but in a few months it'll be solid, fully blasted and painted underneath, running a whack load closer to the floor and ready to take me and the family on holiday.

Here's some pics to begin with:

I'll post more as and when I get them :)

Cool ride mate!

Welcome too

15's are well sought after so you've bagged yourself an investment there too. Not sure it's a 62 though :?: The arches and the front indicators are a give away. More likely a 63?

August 62 so technically a 63 model i guess (not sure bus changeover months) i read somewhere that bullets were until january 62 though. Could be completely wrong though, whih is fine. I've only had bugs, a notch and ghia before. I'm happy with it though. A 15 has always been on the list :)

crossover model!

very nice bus, looks like you're going to spend some time in the man cave..

i would've thought your hatch should have the half moon recess above the handle ..

I'm not the welding type so its coming welded up and stuff already.

I'll investigate the rear hatch but as far as i'm aware its all original, never welded.

Worry not, the paint isn't going anywhere ;) It's going to be sympathetically blended where its needed.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

I had a phone call on Friday telling me that all the panels had been ordered for the bus so hopefully it won't be too long before work starts on it :) Excited!!! But so much to do from my end too!
