I want to keep the o/g paint on my 66 bus and have been told to try ankor wax on the rust patches and that it can be applied on the paint and polished up can you tell me of your experience with this product please

You can polish it, i would think it would be hard work, it sweats when its warm and will have dust sticking to it, great for rust protection id say no good on patina, collinite doz a wax collinite 376 something like that which is good ive heard il have a look n get back to you cheers jason

Ok jason thanks, ive heard good and bad about it, I was thinking of applying a coat to the surface rust areas on the body( to stop the rust) and a good quality wax on the paint, id heard collinites good as a double wax coating

Hello,

Have been using Collinite double coat wax on mine for the last few years on the main body work, its great stuff. Ankor wax in the gutter and any bare metal bits around the windows and wheel arches and stuff. And Waxoyl underneath once a year and inside all the doors, sills and anywhere else I can spray it.

Hiya sasquash,

Thats sounds exactly what im going to do! Ive already waxoyled underneath but around safari windows theres no paint in places just rust nothin mayjor o holes but i dont want to paint so thought ankor wax for these areas but ive heard mixed reports of it on paint so was gona give paint a good layer of collinite :lol:

ankor wax is mint especially when unwanted visitors to the camping area lean on it as they speak to you and get it all over their hands :D however its not so good if you run out of petrol and you have to get it all over your own hands

:lol: :lol: sounds like a sticky situation! anyone ever used it on all there van and polished it up so its not sticky(sounds like hard work)
