the more I look, the more i`m convinced its a genuine leftie

the bathroom door cabinet, has the catch to hold the mirror section up on the opposite side...these are chiselled into the wood, so if it had been swapped, it would have left a gap on the other side

all the seat bases are exact, down to the grooves for the alloy side panel trims etc..., the easicool section looks spot on...but reversed

the magazine rack has the catch on the opposite side

the cooker is original 64, and the unit really does look to be exact...just the opposite way round

the wardrobe looks genuine, opposite way round, but alloy trim stops to clear the body , just as it should

I'm new to this business- did Devon only make RHD models?? I thought they had a bit of a world wide following?

i thought the rear facing seat would give it away. but it all looks perfect down to the water tank filler cut out.

now where is the lhd van with the hole in the bulkhead.

I was told by one of the former employees at Sidmouth that they very occasionally converted lhd vans, mostly brought to them by American servicemen. They would make up the units to order.

I'm not entirely convinced that this one is a genuine Devon interior - The top of the rear drawer unit doesn't look quite right and the cooker housing looks odd. It could have been made/converted by a skilled joiner years ago - but it is quite possible that it is a genuine lhd survivor. Whatever its history it is well worth having and I'd buy it if I had a bulkhead bus.

cooker housing is exact for a 64, cant see anything not correct, except its all the wrong way round - in fact, its one of the best reference pics i`ve seen for a 65 cooker unit

same for the rear drawers.....the leg compartment at the back is missing, but this does come off...and either the drawer handles have come off...or you cant see them due to the black paint....or the drawers are in the wrong way round

I'd I had the spare cash at the moment I would buy it and put it in my bus. Can't see why anyone would have gone to so much trouble to convert a rhd interior to lhd. Could be a nice little investment.

I think whatever it sells for it would never lose its value especially after a bit of tidying up.
