Lush, lush, lush.
How ironic that part of the prize for one of the oldest surviving Devons was a refurbishment! The 80's eh
What gems!

Let's bring back cooking eggs and bacon in a jacket and tie  We've allowed standards to drop in the past few decades - I saw a Devon owner wearing one of they hoodie things at Viccy Farm

I knew Alistair and WDV505 very well from the early days of the club. I also knew HEG425 from those days as well. WDV more recently was passed on to Alistair's family who did a few shows, but that said, I don't think I have seen either van for a while now. We have copies of these press cuttings on file in the van register and even have a copy of HEG's original green log book, showing it first registered in Peterborough.

WDV 505 is showing as SORN
and HEG 425 is currently taxed.

Strangely WDV 505 shows as being registered in 1957, but HEG 425 shows as 1958.

HEG was first registered on 7th July 1958 in Peterborough and road tax was bought for £3 8s 9d. Originally registered to Boroughby Garage (VW main dealers), then sold to Ellen Pattinson Willson of Peterborough.
