So now the brats are all back at school that's another 15 minutes on my journey to work. Only reason is that the bus I get to the station has to negotiate all the 4x4s and people carriers with one kid in being driven to school by some dopey woman who obviously bought a vehicle that's too big for her to drive. And before anyone screams 'sexist' I looked every day this week and EVERY one of the 30 plus of the poxy things parked outside the school(including on the keep clear lines directly outside the gates) was being (badly)piloted by a female. Most of whom cold hardly see over the seering wheel. I had a count up today and there were 32 school run cars parked up of which 29 were 4x4s/people carriers. It wouldn't be so bad if they learnt to park the things properly or how wide they were as they can't seem to negotiate a gap that anyone else could get a bus through. Why don't these kids/parents walk to school or get a bus, kids don't even pay for buses where I live. I even have yoofs getting on my bus to go one stop to school and by the time they've waited for the bus then the bus has waited in the traffic it wouldve been quicker to walk. No wonder there's so many fat kids out there. Anyone got a sherman tank I can borrow...
Cheers, Lee

Buy an electric car and drive it to work and back...like a G-Wiz...small enough to squeeze past the traffic as it's basically a scooter-on-four-wheels but it won't cost you the Earth to run as it can go 40 miles on a single charge and a single charge is less than a quid. That way you can program the SatNav to avoid that route. LOL

Paul I can sympathise completely. Most of the school run mums where I live are just as ignorant. They even had to put concrete bollards on one corner all across the footway as they were parking their 4x4s fully on the pavement if there wasn't a space in the road!!! Do you have a drop kerb as if you do she can't park across it if there is a vehicle in the driveway which is accessed by the drop kerb but if there's no vehicle there she can block a drop kerb. If you do, phone the local council and get them to come down and ticket the car, they love it as its money for old rope. If you don't have a drop kerb though you're kippered. Otherwise have you thought about getting a couple of mates to block her in for ten minutes or so...she'll soon get hacked off. Or maybe some srategically placed tin-tacks. Or a bazooka!!!
Cheers, Lee

I've been using my bus as a daily for the school run last few weeks  I've not found a park big enough in them two weeks ( lazy 8O ) so I've been unloading the kids at Bus stop

My main problem is with those housewife's who drop there kids off then feel it's a necessity to stand outside the school gate talking about daytime TV viewings etc whilst there 4x4s are taking up all the parking

please don't get me started on the F....... parents who park on the zigzags and put every child in school at risk using the Zebra crossing..... :? :banghead:
