I wonder why I even bother to try buying anything (except stereo's) from halfords as unless you drive a fiesta or an escort they've never ever actually got what you need. All I wanted was a foot of rubber hose for the breather on the petrol tank on the bug. Nothing special, just some rubber hose. Any half decent car spares place sells various diameters by the foot/metre. Except halfrauds, where the bloke(spotty yoof)looks at me like I've asked for the most exotic and rare piece of car technology known to man. What a complete bunch of arse halfords and all the chav'd up shyte they sell are....

Went in for a battery for the Morris Minor. Asked for one for a 1953 803cc engine. Don't exist was the answer, only started making them in 1956 & the engine was 998cc. Oh was my reply, really, I must have an early prototype version then.

Useless fools.

Didn't have a touch up pen for the 2 yr old vectra either. Main stealer tomorrow for that then.

Halfords stopped trading in Jersey about 20 years ago, can't say from my experiences of dealing with them in the UK that we have missed them during that time and want them back!!!

Dr G.

I nipped in to get a reflex silver touch up of one of the work caddys.. Err we don;t sell it but we do sell a 5h1t load of obscure vw colours you have never seen for about 150 years.... As silver is the most popular colour, It has to be the most popular , vw, skoda, audi, seat colour in the range.. Idiots.. Main dealer was alot cheaper as well...

Yep, they are a bunch of muppets but the discount you get with their trade card is bonkers.

When my fudged bus went sh!t shaped and I decided to tear it apart on a saturday afternoon I went down and bought their 3 tonne pro trolley jack (RRP £89) for half price. I was rather happy with that. All the oils, filters and tools are cheap as chips too.

I never ask for anything any more. If its on the shelf I buy it, thats all.
