sorry no pics just a progress report,,,
i have removed and rebuilt the starter motor and bench testedit, this is now working correctly, have also removed and rebuilt the petrol tap,that also is working as it should...all brakes ie shoes cylinders and center steering pin are ordered and hopefully should all be on the bus by the end of next week,,,,,then its time to track down a motor.


also trying to fit the head liner but what a horrid job this is,,,,also the rear piece i have is too short!!!!!!!! busses dont ya just love em!!!!!

all brake cyls , master, wheel, shoes and flexis now fitted.. steering pin fitted, gear selector bush(arse of a job) etc etc..
and I HAVE LIGHTS!!!! :) dip switch works too..even the dimmer on the speedo is working , and the starter moter, wipers, hell. at this rate i might get it done in time for christmas :lol: :lol: :lol: just need an engine now :wink: :wink:


i will post pics asap.... but i just thought i would let peeps know how the ropey bus is coming along :D :wink:

Hi Nick - youve been busy I see. Its a great feeling when all the electrics come back to life. Any luck in sourcing an engine yet? I still have a modern 1200 if youre desperate - its complete and ready to bolt up.
Look forward to seeing the westi soon.

i might take that offer up phill....i am concerned about using a 15/1600 on 1200 reduction boxes as the ratio will mean i will be looking for 5th all the time :lol:
is it for sale??as i want to bolt somthing in there soon....12v i hope?? let me know please phill......thanks.......
