My first car was a '72 beetle which, in the early nineties, was fitted with early panels all round (lots of ppl were doing it back then), deseamed, suicide/solonoid doors etc and fitted with 2110cc stroker motor. Not got any pics to hand.

Sold that (minus engine) and bought a Rover Metro GTi 16v, which was promptly stolen 5 months later.

Bought a '64 notchback with the insurance payout and fitted my engine in it.

Kept that for 10 years whilst driving various company cars (Golf, Laguna, Fiat Bravo HGT, Passat).

Eventually sold the notch when I took a cash alternative to the company car offered and treated myself to this..
Image

Kept that 3 years then bought an RS4 saloon...
Image

Changed jobs and started travelling to work by train and the RS was spending lots of time in my garage, so sold it and bought my split and an A6 as a daily driver. Nobody understood....
