Check this out!!!!!, just got a email from Ant - Got the profiles from laser industries in plymouth and made the necessary adaptations to this first prototype to get it on right. Made the folds then TIG'd it together and bolted it up. Ground the welds back and pollished them out. Its looking great!

Cheers to everyone for the comments on Dexter's project, its really starting to get exciting as Dexter's mentioned... watch this space...

We will be taking orders soon on mirror pollished stainless underbody pan's - front and traditional belly pan style replacements. They are made from laser cut 316L stainless profiles (marine grade) which are then TIG'd together and mirror pollished.

The front pan pictured is to fit a split with Creative Engineering's steering rack conversion - ones to fit standard steering box'd vans to follow soon!

Feel free to contact us to make enquiries on these or any other requirements you may have.

This whats been happening this week

Trim excess seam sealer in wheel arch.
Wire wheel off trailing arms and pitman arm.
Stuff the ends of trailing arms to seal in the grease.
Clean ends out.
Mask bearing faces on the arms.
Mix and apply etch to Creative steering rack mounting plate and trailing arms and pitman arm.

Mix and apply 2k primer to CE rack plate, trailing arms and pitman arm.
Prime inside front arches over bare etch primer.
Remove flange from wheel tub out of donor bus.
Measure, draw up section and order custom roof rib from Schofield's.

Cut and fix studs into inner valance
Prep stainless belly pan for initial fit
Score tab fold lines with dremel
Fold tabs up and back
Fit centre section to the bus.
Offer up wing pieces and adjust pattern to fit.
Cut wings accordingly
Fit steering rack.
Trial fit belly pan.
Trim steering rack mounting plate.
Tack on wing sections.
Remove pan and TIG weld the wings on
Linnish out the welds
Pollish to mirror finish.
Fit and photo.

Pattern bumper irons/chassis hangers.
Cut in wood and trial fit.
Refine
Tranfer pattern to 10mm steel.
Cut the hangers. Drill holes.
Fix to bus ready to re-hang front end.
Store patterns ready to laser cut stainless bumper brackets.
Collect dropped spindles ready to build up front beam.

Should get on to starting assessing the 911 conversion a bit more in depth
this week. Also hope to get Ben started building up your front beam and
trial fitting it to the bus! So in order to do that we've got to re-hang the
bus on the roller with different fixture points - which is where the bumper
bracket profiles come in to play again - see pics.

The targa has relinquished its power house - which is now sat awaiting attention on an engine stand. Some funky wiring to contend with, but she's out!
