This LHD Ohio bus once resided in the UK...It now belongs to Jim Blackhust...aka Hosedragger on here..
Jim posted questions about it being a Danbury on here before but has never resolved opinions on exactly which converters work this is..Maybe the garage it was bought from?
So I have posted pictures he sent me for opinions...
It was bought from a UK dealer and fitted with the conversion you see in the UK

So opinions please?

Hmm, curtain rings deffo look like Pitt items as does the roof. The rest deffo doesn't. Maybe a mish-mash fitted by the garage that sold it in the uk??

Shalom, Lee

Ps if he wants to sell the curtain rings I'd buy them :) :)

^^ I agree - none of it looks CP to me (apart from the curtain rings!).

Layout and fixtures are not CP. And the spare wheel well hasn't got the CP dent in the top.

Thanks for the input guys..... The curtain rings I bought on Samba after i bought the bus.... There was strips of the curtain material tying the curtains back........ I suppose I should pop the bondo out of the holes above the license plate light that I located and see if they do fit a Danbury tag.......... As I have indicated before the conversion could be home made, a Canterbury Pit, or a Danbury............ My Grandfather came from Burslem and my Grandmother came from Aylesbury So it is a win win for me.......... During my initial research I had Contacted Kieth's Garage and was advised by Stuart Mills, the owner that they did not do in house conversions, but did use Canterbury Pit and Danbury during the sixties.....

Once again guys, I want to thank you for your opinions and await additional thoughts and comments..........

As far as I know there are only two Danbury Splits known to have survived in the UK. I owned one in original condition for 15 years. Yours does not look anything like a Danbury so I think you can rule them out.
The interior looks a little home made to me.

Good luck with your search.

I agree with Lee - it would be good if you could post a pic of the roof lifting mechanism to see if it is a CP style....
