Hello all!

I have a Canterbury Pitt roof with red and white "candy stripe" material and matching fabric over door canopy, my roof fabric's seen better days but it is original and I don't want to change it so I need some material to patch up a few holes/rips... does anyone have any original material at all... maybe if they replaced theirs with new fabric but kept the old one... I'm happy with bits or the whole thing... I've managed to find candy stripe but it's plastic and not at all original or nice!!

Can anyone help... please!?

Sorry I can't help you. It took me ages to get a secondhand bit and then it was in poor condition and out of a whole canvas I only just managed to get the 6 inch repair strip I required.

Leon at Concept Pop Tops did the repair for me. It is a long shot but try him and see if he knows of anyone with canvas for your repair. www.vwpoptop.com

Dormobile does a similar candy stripped roof material, it is more like goretex with a honey comb. I have a dormobile roof and a canterbury pitt door canopy and the CP one is a tougher canvas but the stripes rubbed off after some cleaning

I'd be interested to see what replacement you find.

I know the material you're talking about... I really want the original but can't seem to buy it new so thought I'd try and find someones left overs!!

I've been told that Canterbury Pitt at the time used BT workman tent material(how true this is I don't know but I like the story!!) so I've even been trying to find a vintage tent to use!!
