I know this is probably a stupid question, but does anyone have a spare cushion that sits on top of the fridge for my '67 Devon? My interior is a kind of greeny turquoise colour. If not does anyone have any detailed photos with measurements so I can get one made? Thanks

Here's a pic of my interior

Image

Thanks Ste

I think you may have a slight problem...
Can you send a close up of the material pattern...
I have a suspicion that the material may not be OG any way, in which case you will have difficulty in matching..
One suggestion would be less than ideal BUT...You may want to decide which cushion you could disassemble to use one side to make the cover and replace the material in the one you have sacrificed with whatever you get near...Say the cushion over the engine...area which you may have loaded with "Things" on top...
Just an idea...
I have very similar material in my son's 64 but I am unsure if it is OG..It is not duracour in mine...looks old and period..
The other difficulty is how to attach to the board or not over the fridge...
Have you tried the PO to see what happened to it?

I was missing a cushion and when I asked I git the cushion and some duracour seat covers for the front seat backs as well! Actually they habeen screwed to the seat frames with a wooden batten at the base and I found the witness holes where they had been...

Firstly great interior, really tidy looking and original.

I agree with Type21f that the fabric is close but not original. The idea of robbing some material off the back of another cushion is a good one. The folding flap above the easicool has the cushion pop studded to it. You can see on mine, although mine had a grim vinyl cover over the top.

Below is a close up of the duracour turquoise fabric in my 66

Please post more pics of your lovely van!

Thanks for the help guys, I always assumed my interior covers were original, I'll post some close up photos this lunchtime. The flap thats above the fridge appears to be the original one as it has the press studs on the other side for the cushion to mount to. If my interior material isnt original I like the idea of nicking material from the back of the cover above the engine compartment, thanks for the idea.

I'll also post some more pics up of the van. Im in the process of fitting some original style tmi seat covers to the front seats, the originals were too far gone, im really impressed with thte quality.

I'll also contact the previous owner, I contacted him about a year ago asking if he had the water tank but never mentioned the cushion, I'll email him now. The van had been in his family since 1969 So hopefully he'll be able to tell me if the covers are original too. Thanks

Do not throw your old covers away ...someone on here will want them to repair their own seats...maybe even me!

They do get used to patch and repair by people...!

Great looking bus and good to see the headrest still in place up front - my one is missing so I'm going to have to make one up, if you get a chance can you take a pic of it and a pic of how it attaches?

I think they are, i`ve seen other buses with that style pattern before

its not the duracour pattern of say 64ish, which is a straight fleck...but i think perhaps towards the end , 66-67, there was another durocour option, which is the one you have

i think, anyway

It is definitely turquoise duracour..
I recently bought ten cushions in this colour from a 1971 Danbury bought for a friend's project...They do come up.

My interior is this colour still quite bright
