Just to let you know that the site and forums will be down today for a couple of hours while our hosting company moves us to a less busy server.
Hopefully this will address the poor performance we've been seeing. Fingers crossed!

John

Sorry for the extended downtime.
The server change meant a DNS change (DNS maps server names like www.ssvc.org.uk onto their IP address 217.10.140.15).
Different people will get the DNS refresh at different times (usually depends which ISP you are with), hence some people could access OK and some could not.
We had a few glitches in the migration but initial impressions are that the site is much quicker so I think it was worth it. Fingers crossed that the improvement continues.
Cheers,
John

Cannot access 'Search' with Safari 5 or Google Chrome on Mac. Just shows blank page.

Is it OK now? Now good for me on Safari (and all other browsers I have) as well as on my phone (android).
