March 2008
Congratulations to March's winner beetle532 (Gavin)!
And what a beauty it is.
Some words from Gavin
"We've nicknamed the van "Freddie" as it was once owned by Fast Freddie and the name just stuck. The van is a 1962, LHD, Microbus conversion that was originally sent to Fremont, California. I bought the van in September 2004 and the full on restoration was completed by Pirate VW in Loughbrough."
"Interior and cabinets were fitted by Vaughn Green and Tim Hartley - aka www.customclassicretro.co.uk."
"Simon @ Absolute VW did a lot of the work while he was working at Pirate VW - cracking bloke and great workmanship so give him a go if you live in the East Midlands. "
"Engine was supplied by Richard Morena and fitted by Charles Green in Leicester. Special thanks go to Charlie as he's a genius and has looked after me for the last 3 or 4 years with odds and sods. "
