Big discounts for club members.

Herts Insurance Consultants, (you may know them better as HIC) have been insuring VW enthusiasts for years. They appear at many shows such is their support of the whole VW scene. Some of you may still have the little purple squidgy beetles or ice scrapers one of their guys gave out at Brighton Breeze!

Anyway, Dave Parkin recently met up with HIC's newly appointed Club Liaison Manager, Steve Beveridge, and discussed an offer from them to become supporters of the Split Screen Van Club – an offer which means they will be making their policies available to club members with a generous discount.

So why HIC? They already provide two major schemes to the VW world: the Volksworld Insurance Service (for readers of Volksworld magazine) and Just Kampers Insurance Service (the online VW camper specialists), and they obviously understand the VW scene. Plus, they give you the salvage retention rights in the event of a total loss claim (subject to UK law), so you can get the vehicle back; it doesn’t go to a scrap metal dealer!

And, as part of the deal, HIC can also arrange big discounts for club members on other everyday insurance policies, such as motorcycle insurance and house & contents insurance. These are provided via HIC's parent company, Adrian Flux Insurance Services.

So what sort of savings can we get? Well, for classic VWs (and any classic car a member may have) HIC will give us a discount of up to 15%. For policies being provided via the Adrian Flux Group, members will get 10% off. We can also get 10% off any modern car quote as well through HIC’s general car policies, so those that keep their precious rides as a second car can now get a discount for their run around, too!
